Narrative:
I was the flight instructor on a dual training lesson in a piper seminole. My student was executing a single engine approach (NDB 31 dvl) at devils lake. I told him to remove the foggles at 200 ft above MDA and do his final check. He didn't do the final check and I started to do it. Mixtures rich, propellers full forward. I told him he had the second throttle for a go around if needed. At that point, I always check the gear to make sure it's down and locked. However, I was distraction by the displaced threshold, which I knew was there but didn't know if my student realized it or not. From that point on, I don't remember hearing the gear warning horn or checking the gear. We landed gear up. I think this could have been prevented if I would have included in my prebrief with my student the fact that runway 31 at devils lake has a displaced threshold and if I wouldn't have broken the sterile cockpit rule at such a critical phase of the flight.
