Narrative:
On takeoff bos, lost some flight instruments. Returned to bos. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated that the problem was not waiting until the inertial reference units were fully aligned. The reporter said the B757-200 is not like the B737-300 where the alignment is quick. The reporter stated we should have waited the full 3 mins for complete alignment of the inertial reference units.

Title: A B757-200 ON TKOF AT ROTATION DECLARED AN EMER AND DIVERTED DUE TO LOSS OF HSI AND ADI INSTRUMENTATION CAUSED BY THE INERTIAL REF UNITS NOT ALIGNED.
Narrative: ON TKOF BOS, LOST SOME FLT INSTS. RETURNED TO BOS. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THAT THE PROB WAS NOT WAITING UNTIL THE INERTIAL REF UNITS WERE FULLY ALIGNED. THE RPTR SAID THE B757-200 IS NOT LIKE THE B737-300 WHERE THE ALIGNMENT IS QUICK. THE RPTR STATED WE SHOULD HAVE WAITED THE FULL 3 MINS FOR COMPLETE ALIGNMENT OF THE INERTIAL REF UNITS.
