Narrative:
Approximately 200 NM from sjo, we noticed oil quantity was slowly decreasing on engine #2. Pressure and temperature were normal. Retrieved mga and sjo WX, contacted dispatch, and had flight attendants run their checklist. Briefed for a single engine landing, ran appropriate checklists. Oil quantity dropped to zero, throttle was retarded. At approximately 3900 ft MSL we received the ECAM warning for low engine oil pressure, and oil pressure was zero. Engine was secured and an uneventful single approach and landing was completed as briefed. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated when on the ground a visual check of the #2 engine revealed no dripping or puddling of engine oil or evidence of an external oil leak. The reporter said the next morning the aircraft had been worked and then maintenance ferried to ZZZ. The reporter stated the corrective maintenance action taken was unknown.

Title: AN AIRBUS 300 CREW IN CRUISE AT FL290 OBSERVES A GRADUAL LOSS OF #2 ENG OIL. AT 3 NM ON FINAL APCH ECAM WARNING SOUNDS AND ENG SHUTDOWN WITH UNEVENTFUL LNDG.
Narrative: APPROX 200 NM FROM SJO, WE NOTICED OIL QUANTITY WAS SLOWLY DECREASING ON ENG #2. PRESSURE AND TEMP WERE NORMAL. RETRIEVED MGA AND SJO WX, CONTACTED DISPATCH, AND HAD FLT ATTENDANTS RUN THEIR CHKLIST. BRIEFED FOR A SINGLE ENG LNDG, RAN APPROPRIATE CHKLISTS. OIL QUANTITY DROPPED TO ZERO, THROTTLE WAS RETARDED. AT APPROX 3900 FT MSL WE RECEIVED THE ECAM WARNING FOR LOW ENG OIL PRESSURE, AND OIL PRESSURE WAS ZERO. ENG WAS SECURED AND AN UNEVENTFUL SINGLE APCH AND LNDG WAS COMPLETED AS BRIEFED. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED WHEN ON THE GND A VISUAL CHK OF THE #2 ENG REVEALED NO DRIPPING OR PUDDLING OF ENG OIL OR EVIDENCE OF AN EXTERNAL OIL LEAK. THE RPTR SAID THE NEXT MORNING THE ACFT HAD BEEN WORKED AND THEN MAINT FERRIED TO ZZZ. THE RPTR STATED THE CORRECTIVE MAINT ACTION TAKEN WAS UNKNOWN.
