Narrative:

On departure at 1000 ft, the captain's altimeter spun down to 100 ft. The controller asked altitude and I explained what happened. I turned off the encoder and flew 2 hours to fty. Maintenance replaced the air data computer.

Title: PLT OF A BEECH KING AIR F90 EXPERIENCED ALTIMETER FAILURE AFTER TKOF CAUSING THE ENCODING DISPLAY TO ATC RADAR TO SHOW EXCESSIVELY LOW ALT. WHEN ATC INQUIRED RPTR'S ALT HE EXPLAINED THAT ALTIMETER HAD FAILED AND THEN CONTINUED TO DEST WHERE THE FLT DATA COMPUTER WAS REPLACED.

Narrative: ON DEP AT 1000 FT, THE CAPT'S ALTIMETER SPUN DOWN TO 100 FT. THE CTLR ASKED ALT AND I EXPLAINED WHAT HAPPENED. I TURNED OFF THE ENCODER AND FLEW 2 HRS TO FTY. MAINT REPLACED THE AIR DATA COMPUTER.
