Narrative:
Departed dca on runway 36 for a noise abatement climb up the river. Takeoff and climb were normal, as well as our track up the river per the procedure. We were handed off to ZDC. When we checked on, the controller asked that we contact dca TRACON when we arrived at our destination. We did so, and were advised that the government officials complained about our flight being too close to the positive control area. TRACON advised that they would have to 'plot' our departure, and promised to get back to me. TRACON called and advised that our track was right on, and 'no' further action was required. He also advised that this was a common occurrence with the government officials when the government vip was involved with local activities, ie, holiday.
