Narrative:
Assigned to taxi by taxiway U and runway 28 to hold short of runway 23R. We crossed hold short line of runway 23R located on runway 28 but were still short of runway 23R. Realized problem because tower pointed it out to us. Problem arose because we were trying to do too much in too little time and not paying close enough attention to taxiway and hold short line. I had been into the airport several times before but this taxi and hold short arrangement is different from any I have experienced before. Taxi from our gate to runway is very short and leaves little time to do all necessary checklists and taxi at the same time. Tower was busy and moving traffic very fast. In the future we will do taxi checklist before leaving gate so all attention can be given to taxi instruction and hold short lines.

I HAD BEEN INTO THE ARPT SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE BUT THIS TAXI AND HOLD SHORT ARRANGEMENT IS DIFFERENT FROM ANY I HAVE EXPERIENCED BEFORE. TAXI FROM OUR GATE TO RWY IS VERY SHORT AND LEAVES LITTLE TIME TO DO ALL NECESSARY CHKLISTS AND TAXI AT THE SAME TIME. TWR WAS BUSY AND MOVING TFC VERY FAST. IN THE FUTURE WE WILL DO TAXI CHKLIST BEFORE LEAVING GATE SO ALL ATTN CAN BE GIVEN TO TAXI INSTRUCTION AND HOLD SHORT LINES.
