Narrative:
Failure to stop short of hold short line for runway 35. We were next in line for takeoff, when the event occurred. No conflict was caused. Nothing was said by the tower, almost a non-event. As an after thought, the before takeoff checklist as being performed. This may have contributed as being a distraction. Supplemental information from acn 545369: a factor affecting the situation was the construction going on for runway 36L. To prevent the situation in the future, I should have paid more attention to the situation when around a construction zone. Also, I should have been using the construction commercial chart diagram xa. Instead, I was using commercial chart diagram xb because it had the ground and tower frequency on the chart. It would be helpful to have those frequencys printed on the temporary commercial chart xa.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: ACR TURBOPROP CAPT INADVERTENTLY STOPPED PAST THE RWY HOLD SHORT LINE DURING TAXI OUT FOLLOWING ANOTHER ACFT.
Narrative: FAILURE TO STOP SHORT OF HOLD SHORT LINE FOR RWY 35. WE WERE NEXT IN LINE FOR TKOF, WHEN THE EVENT OCCURRED. NO CONFLICT WAS CAUSED. NOTHING WAS SAID BY THE TWR, ALMOST A NON-EVENT. AS AN AFTER THOUGHT, THE BEFORE TKOF CHKLIST AS BEING PERFORMED. THIS MAY HAVE CONTRIBUTED AS BEING A DISTR. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 545369: A FACTOR AFFECTING THE SIT WAS THE CONSTRUCTION GOING ON FOR RWY 36L. TO PREVENT THE SIT IN THE FUTURE, I SHOULD HAVE PAID MORE ATTN TO THE SIT WHEN AROUND A CONSTRUCTION ZONE. ALSO, I SHOULD HAVE BEEN USING THE CONSTRUCTION COMMERCIAL CHART DIAGRAM XA. INSTEAD, I WAS USING COMMERCIAL CHART DIAGRAM XB BECAUSE IT HAD THE GND AND TWR FREQ ON THE CHART. IT WOULD BE HELPFUL TO HAVE THOSE FREQS PRINTED ON THE TEMPORARY COMMERCIAL CHART XA.
