Narrative:
I was d-side on ZTL R-28, a staff specialist. 1ST time of the month, I was actively sequencing strips and placing direction arrows. Winds were strong, big sector, many random rtes of cpr aircraft. Aircraft X was IFR from teb J75 tay pie descending at approximately XA44 in sector. R-side was moderately busy and bugging me to take the sector. Originally I was uncomfortable with traffic. I recall aircraft X being in sector a little east of course. I do not recall seeing him flash handoff to ZJX-66. I was monitoring radio. I do recall r-side switching him. A few moments later I agreed, after getting an idea of pending traffic from strips, to take the sector. During briefing, aircraft X I believe (no data block display) was outside airspace. Strip had been marked by r-side as handoff completed and switched, ie, not onboard prior to briefing. As briefing continued R-15 (ZTL) flashed an aircraft X data block to us and said he didn't (via interphone) know how he got track or handoff. But here it was. R-side told me something like 'I know he was handed off.' r-side flashed track to ZJX-66 and called on the line and asked if he had handoff on aircraft X. He replied yes. I do not know if aircraft X was not previously handed off, or if host did something weird. Briefing continued, to conclusion. I then took the sector. Since I'm not sure if r-side did handoff aircraft or not I am filing NASA report. My perception is that r-side did handoff aircraft, as verified by ZJX and host did something weird. All of this transpired and was resolved prior to myself taking the sector.

Title: A LOSS OF SEPARATION OCCURRED WHEN CTLR ALLOWED A B757 AT FL410 TO COME WITHIN 4 NM OF AN LR35 ALSO AT FL410 OPPOSITE DIRECTION.
Narrative: I WAS D-SIDE ON ZTL R-28, A STAFF SPECIALIST. 1ST TIME OF THE MONTH, I WAS ACTIVELY SEQUENCING STRIPS AND PLACING DIRECTION ARROWS. WINDS WERE STRONG, BIG SECTOR, MANY RANDOM RTES OF CPR ACFT. ACFT X WAS IFR FROM TEB J75 TAY PIE DSNDING AT APPROX XA44 IN SECTOR. R-SIDE WAS MODERATELY BUSY AND BUGGING ME TO TAKE THE SECTOR. ORIGINALLY I WAS UNCOMFORTABLE WITH TFC. I RECALL ACFT X BEING IN SECTOR A LITTLE E OF COURSE. I DO NOT RECALL SEEING HIM FLASH HDOF TO ZJX-66. I WAS MONITORING RADIO. I DO RECALL R-SIDE SWITCHING HIM. A FEW MOMENTS LATER I AGREED, AFTER GETTING AN IDEA OF PENDING TFC FROM STRIPS, TO TAKE THE SECTOR. DURING BRIEFING, ACFT X I BELIEVE (NO DATA BLOCK DISPLAY) WAS OUTSIDE AIRSPACE. STRIP HAD BEEN MARKED BY R-SIDE AS HDOF COMPLETED AND SWITCHED, IE, NOT ONBOARD PRIOR TO BRIEFING. AS BRIEFING CONTINUED R-15 (ZTL) FLASHED AN ACFT X DATA BLOCK TO US AND SAID HE DIDN'T (VIA INTERPHONE) KNOW HOW HE GOT TRACK OR HDOF. BUT HERE IT WAS. R-SIDE TOLD ME SOMETHING LIKE 'I KNOW HE WAS HANDED OFF.' R-SIDE FLASHED TRACK TO ZJX-66 AND CALLED ON THE LINE AND ASKED IF HE HAD HDOF ON ACFT X. HE REPLIED YES. I DO NOT KNOW IF ACFT X WAS NOT PREVIOUSLY HANDED OFF, OR IF HOST DID SOMETHING WEIRD. BRIEFING CONTINUED, TO CONCLUSION. I THEN TOOK THE SECTOR. SINCE I'M NOT SURE IF R-SIDE DID HDOF ACFT OR NOT I AM FILING NASA RPT. MY PERCEPTION IS THAT R-SIDE DID HDOF ACFT, AS VERIFIED BY ZJX AND HOST DID SOMETHING WEIRD. ALL OF THIS TRANSPIRED AND WAS RESOLVED PRIOR TO MYSELF TAKING THE SECTOR.
