Narrative:
While taxiing as cleared to runway 5L with much construction on the airport, a parallel taxiway B was missed and I failed to realize I had taxied past it until I saw white runway edge lights. I had inadvertently taxied about 15 ft past a hold short line on taxiway B5 and called ground to advise them of my error and request further movement. The nose of my aircraft was still 10 ft or so short of the edge of the active runway (runway 5L). The only conflict was a turboprop landing on this runway (runway 5L) who had come to a full stop prior to the taxiway I was on (taxiway B5) and awaited clearance to continue his taxi. I feel the contributing factor to this situation was the placement of the runway 5L sign to the west of taxiway B5. This sign is at an angle facing away from taxiway B5 and should be positioned to make it more visible, especially for night operations when the hold short lines are not as easily seen or visible.

Title: PLT OF A BEECH 90 KING AIR STOPPED PAST THE RWY HOLD SHORT LINE DUE TO NOT OBSERVING THE HOLD SHORT LINE AND THE RWY IDENT SIGN DURING TAXI TO THE RWY FOR TKOF.
Narrative: WHILE TAXIING AS CLRED TO RWY 5L WITH MUCH CONSTRUCTION ON THE ARPT, A PARALLEL TXWY B WAS MISSED AND I FAILED TO REALIZE I HAD TAXIED PAST IT UNTIL I SAW WHITE RWY EDGE LIGHTS. I HAD INADVERTENTLY TAXIED ABOUT 15 FT PAST A HOLD SHORT LINE ON TXWY B5 AND CALLED GND TO ADVISE THEM OF MY ERROR AND REQUEST FURTHER MOVEMENT. THE NOSE OF MY ACFT WAS STILL 10 FT OR SO SHORT OF THE EDGE OF THE ACTIVE RWY (RWY 5L). THE ONLY CONFLICT WAS A TURBOPROP LNDG ON THIS RWY (RWY 5L) WHO HAD COME TO A FULL STOP PRIOR TO THE TXWY I WAS ON (TXWY B5) AND AWAITED CLRNC TO CONTINUE HIS TAXI. I FEEL THE CONTRIBUTING FACTOR TO THIS SIT WAS THE PLACEMENT OF THE RWY 5L SIGN TO THE W OF TXWY B5. THIS SIGN IS AT AN ANGLE FACING AWAY FROM TXWY B5 AND SHOULD BE POSITIONED TO MAKE IT MORE VISIBLE, ESPECIALLY FOR NIGHT OPS WHEN THE HOLD SHORT LINES ARE NOT AS EASILY SEEN OR VISIBLE.
