Narrative:
This report is on a company. The company is part 135. They use unqualified, untrained flight attendants such as a young lady called ms X. This person does not have any safety training and would be unable to face an emergency, putting the safety of the passenger in jeopardy. This is also misleading to passenger. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states that she has used the hotline with no success. She has contacted local FAA reps with no success -- just statements that they can't just walk in on an operation to check. Reporter has been in contact with a member of a professional aviation organization who gave her the names of the FAA people to contact. Her major concern is that people with absolutely no experience or training are being asked to interview and are hired for flight attendant jobs. She feels it is an unsafe operation since passenger would not be given proper assistance in an emergency. She also feels it may be illegal.
