Narrative:
Missed FL330 crossing restr 30 mi west of dbq. FMC input was 30 mi east of dbq. Center controller asked when we were 30 mi west of dbq if we would make crossing restr. Initially said yes, until we realized FMC input error. Started descent from FL370 and told controller we would not make restr. Crossed 24 mi west of dbq at FL330. We asked the controller if there was a traffic conflict and she said negative.
