Narrative:

On descent to jfk, when the slat handle was moved to the slats extend position, crew received a continuous slat disagree light. Slat disagree light checklist was completed, slats visually inspected. An asymmetric slat condition found. No slat landing with flaps checklist was completed and an uneventful landing accomplished. Emergency equipment was dispatched as a precaution. Their air was not needed.

Narrative: ON DSCNT TO JFK, WHEN THE SLAT HANDLE WAS MOVED TO THE SLATS EXTEND POS, CREW RECEIVED A CONTINUOUS SLAT DISAGREE LIGHT.
