Narrative:

Upon takeoff, captain came on PA, said we had a light on in the cockpit that should be off and if it did not correct itself we would be returning back to dfw to get it fixed. He then came back on and said 'the light's still on, we are going to dump fuel and land in dfw. It will be a normal landing, nothing to be alarmed about.' we dumped fuel and landed in dfw, changed planes and took off again. Do wish we were getting paid for all the time we spent with passenger!
