Narrative:
This was a training flight for a multi-rated pilot who had not flown a baron for almost a yr. The final phase of the flight was multiple touch-and-goes. Runway 34 was in use, winds reported 290 degrees at 22 KTS gusting to 32 KTS. Accident occurred when student began to accelerate after a touchdown. He selected gear up before airplane had sufficient flying speed. The plane settled and the right propeller and gear door struck the runway. The plane was landed safely. Student cannot say why he moved the gear switch at that point. Possible actions to prevent a recurrence: 1) thorough briefing on position of all switches and to look before activating. 2) hold finger over gear switch until aircraft is safety in the air.
