Narrative:
While at 9000 ft MSL on the localizer for runway 34L and under slc approach control, I (aircraft X) got an unexpected GPWS warning. While reacting to the GPWS warning and climbing through 9800 ft MSL, I got a TCASII TA on an airbus 320 (aircraft Y) who was at my left 10 O'clock position, approximately 2.5 NM. With GPWS warning no longer a factor, I reacted to the TCASII TA and began to level, reaching 10300 ft MSL before leveling at 10000 ft MSL.
