Narrative:
IFR flight plan from ont to lrd. Flight plan route to this flight took us into mexican airspace. Upon arrival into the airspace, the crew discovered the portion with 1 sector was missing and/or misplaced, so the crew asked to be re- rted back into united states airspace. Due to the lack of charts for the original flight plan route and request for re- route, I feel it necessary to file a NASA form at this time. Supplemental information from acn 422660: while en route to lrd we discovered that the mexico charts were misplaced and had to ask for a re-route. Coordinated a re-route with matzatlan center and received clearance. Incident was due to inability to accept original clearance through mexican airspace.
