Narrative:
Event occurred at XA33. I assumed the position at XA31 and was organizing strips, calling an inbound in to hgr tower and generally was not aware of the problem until separation was lost.

Title: ZDC CTLR ASSUMED CTL POS, BECAME INVOLVED WITH INTERPHONE COM AND FAILED TO RECOGNIZE POTENTIAL CONFLICT BTWN 2 CLBING ACFT UNTIL SEPARATION WAS LOST.
Narrative: EVENT OCCURRED AT XA33. I ASSUMED THE POS AT XA31 AND WAS ORGANIZING STRIPS, CALLING AN INBOUND IN TO HGR TWR AND GENERALLY WAS NOT AWARE OF THE PROB UNTIL SEPARATION WAS LOST.
