Narrative:
After clearing runway 13, at the end, we were given instructions to taxi via taxiway H and taxiway south to the ramp. On taxiway H we approached an unmarked taxiway which we believed was taxiway south. We asked ground control to verify that this was taxiway south. The controller replied 'yes' taxi via taxiway south to the ramp. We turned right. The captain maneuvered the aircraft between the blue taxiway lights. With snow blowing and the taxiway covered with snow, we could not see the pavement -- only the blue lights. Additionally, we were unable to distinguish the pavement from the frozen grass, everything was covered in snow. The aircraft departed the pavement approximately 4 ft onto the snow covered grass. At the same time we realized our position, ground controller called to say we had entered taxiway X and ramp X. Airport operations unable to push the aircraft with tugs due to traction. Passenger deplaned using forward airstairs and bussed to terminal. Recommend: standard ICAO signs be installed at ywg.

Title: A DC9-30, WHILE TAXIING AT NIGHT WITH BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW, TURNED ONTO AN UNMARKED TXWY, PROCEEDED A SHORT DISTANCE AND EXITED THE TXWY.
Narrative: AFTER CLRING RWY 13, AT THE END, WE WERE GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS TO TAXI VIA TXWY H AND TXWY S TO THE RAMP. ON TXWY H WE APCHED AN UNMARKED TXWY WHICH WE BELIEVED WAS TXWY S. WE ASKED GND CTL TO VERIFY THAT THIS WAS TXWY S. THE CTLR REPLIED 'YES' TAXI VIA TXWY S TO THE RAMP. WE TURNED R. THE CAPT MANEUVERED THE ACFT BTWN THE BLUE TXWY LIGHTS. WITH SNOW BLOWING AND THE TXWY COVERED WITH SNOW, WE COULD NOT SEE THE PAVEMENT -- ONLY THE BLUE LIGHTS. ADDITIONALLY, WE WERE UNABLE TO DISTINGUISH THE PAVEMENT FROM THE FROZEN GRASS, EVERYTHING WAS COVERED IN SNOW. THE ACFT DEPARTED THE PAVEMENT APPROX 4 FT ONTO THE SNOW COVERED GRASS. AT THE SAME TIME WE REALIZED OUR POS, GND CTLR CALLED TO SAY WE HAD ENTERED TXWY X AND RAMP X. ARPT OPS UNABLE TO PUSH THE ACFT WITH TUGS DUE TO TRACTION. PAX DEPLANED USING FORWARD AIRSTAIRS AND BUSSED TO TERMINAL. RECOMMEND: STANDARD ICAO SIGNS BE INSTALLED AT YWG.
