Narrative:
Went to clearance prior to push and misunderstood. Thought we were cleared to push and then monitor ground. When I went to ground after starting push, he said he didn't want us pushing. My mistake. Captain was talking to the push crew and not even on the radio.

Title: FLC OF F100 PUSHED BACK WITHOUT PROPER CLRNC AT BOS, MA.
Narrative: WENT TO CLRNC PRIOR TO PUSH AND MISUNDERSTOOD. THOUGHT WE WERE CLRED TO PUSH AND THEN MONITOR GND. WHEN I WENT TO GND AFTER STARTING PUSH, HE SAID HE DIDN'T WANT US PUSHING. MY MISTAKE. CAPT WAS TALKING TO THE PUSH CREW AND NOT EVEN ON THE RADIO.
