Narrative:
TCASII RA at 3200 ft MSL (1000 ft AGL) on takeoff from runway 19L. Initial advisory of 'monitor vertical speed' immediately followed by 'climb, climb.' red traffic symbol merged with our aircraft symbol and indicated traffic climbing 200 ft directly below us. We advised departure control of the RA. The controller stated that the conflicting traffic had departed simultaneously off of another runway (we assume off of runway 25R or runway 25L). The departure controller stated that we should have been advised by the tower of the other traffic.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A DEPARTING MD80 CLBS TO AVOID ANOTHER TARGET 200 FT UNDER IT DURING INITIAL CLB AT 1000 FT AGL OUT OF LAS, NV.
Narrative: TCASII RA AT 3200 FT MSL (1000 FT AGL) ON TKOF FROM RWY 19L. INITIAL ADVISORY OF 'MONITOR VERT SPD' IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED BY 'CLB, CLB.' RED TFC SYMBOL MERGED WITH OUR ACFT SYMBOL AND INDICATED TFC CLBING 200 FT DIRECTLY BELOW US. WE ADVISED DEP CTL OF THE RA. THE CTLR STATED THAT THE CONFLICTING TFC HAD DEPARTED SIMULTANEOUSLY OFF OF ANOTHER RWY (WE ASSUME OFF OF RWY 25R OR RWY 25L). THE DEP CTLR STATED THAT WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ADVISED BY THE TWR OF THE OTHER TFC.
