Narrative:
At 30 NM out of dtw the lead flight attendant informed me that a passenger was starting a planned miscarriage of her dead baby. The passenger made it very clear that she did not want any medical assistance, but was requesting that we not delay. We informed ATC that we may have a medical emergency, and what if any delays can we expect? ATC said none now, and turned us onto base leg. On final at about the marker, the flight attendant informed us that the woman was now hemorrhaging and in the bathroom. I immediately asked ATC for medical assistance, but forgot to declare an emergency. We landed with the passenger in the bathroom and the flight attendant assisting her. Once on the ground ATC expedited our taxi to the gate and the medical personnel boarded to assist.
