Narrative:
We were on tight base leg for runway 17C. ATC cleared us for the visual approach to runway 17C. They cleared us to maintain 4000 ft until turning final. They also reported an F100 to us. I don't recall if we reported the traffic in sight. I did not see it, the first officer thinks he saw it, but there was a lot of traffic at the time. They vectored us in close and kept us high. As I started my turn to final, I started my descent. I then got a TCASII RA with a climb command. ATC told us to maintain 4000 ft. I considered myself to be turning final at the time. An F100 flew underneath us. We flew clear of the aircraft, responding to the RA, then continued our approach. We landed safely. Supplemental information from acn 425199: I briefly saw traffic and thought was passing under us. As we began turn to final, received TCASII RA to climb. Responded with climb, cleared traffic and landed safely.

Title: FLC OF B757 RECEIVES TCASII RA ALERT TURNING FINAL AT DFW.
Narrative: WE WERE ON TIGHT BASE LEG FOR RWY 17C. ATC CLRED US FOR THE VISUAL APCH TO RWY 17C. THEY CLRED US TO MAINTAIN 4000 FT UNTIL TURNING FINAL. THEY ALSO RPTED AN F100 TO US. I DON'T RECALL IF WE RPTED THE TFC IN SIGHT. I DID NOT SEE IT, THE FO THINKS HE SAW IT, BUT THERE WAS A LOT OF TFC AT THE TIME. THEY VECTORED US IN CLOSE AND KEPT US HIGH. AS I STARTED MY TURN TO FINAL, I STARTED MY DSCNT. I THEN GOT A TCASII RA WITH A CLB COMMAND. ATC TOLD US TO MAINTAIN 4000 FT. I CONSIDERED MYSELF TO BE TURNING FINAL AT THE TIME. AN F100 FLEW UNDERNEATH US. WE FLEW CLR OF THE ACFT, RESPONDING TO THE RA, THEN CONTINUED OUR APCH. WE LANDED SAFELY. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 425199: I BRIEFLY SAW TFC AND THOUGHT WAS PASSING UNDER US. AS WE BEGAN TURN TO FINAL, RECEIVED TCASII RA TO CLB. RESPONDED WITH CLB, CLRED TFC AND LANDED SAFELY.
