Narrative:
As we were landing in dfw, I noticed a different smell and in a matter of seconds the whole cabin filled with smoke -- heavy, thick smoke that made it impossible to even see the #2 flight attendant sitting at the tailcone jump seat. I immediately called the #1 flight attendant and the cockpit to notify them of smoke in the cabin. The captain advised us we were proceeding directly and quickly to the gate. Personnel immediately opened the tailcone. The smoke smelled and tasted like a vacuum cleaner bag had broken. Dirty, dusty smell. No evacuate/evacuation.
