Narrative:

ZDC gave us a descent to cross druzz fix on the jason 2 arrival at 12000 ft, 250 KTS. Approach plate STAR shows expect to cross druzz at 250 KTS and 11000 ft. Center then gave us an additional instruction to depart druzz heading 080 degrees contact approach at iad. After passing druzz at 12000 ft and 250 KTS, we flew 080 degree heading and called approach. Approach control (iad) asked what altitude ZDC gave us and we told him 12000 ft. Since we had already passed druzz fix, that waypoint dropped out of the FMS and we were unable to xchk autoplt selected altitude on MCP with FMS vertical navigation data. Nothing else was said about the altitude and we were unable to determine who was at fault.

CTR THEN GAVE US AN ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTION TO DEPART DRUZZ HDG 080 DEGS CONTACT APCH AT IAD. AFTER PASSING DRUZZ AT 12000 FT AND 250 KTS, WE FLEW 080 DEG HDG AND CALLED APCH.
