Narrative:
Landing gear handle frozen in up position. DC9 abnormal for emergency landing gear extension accomplished and landing gear verified down and locked. Landing uneventful. Maintenance verified cause as excessive water draining from main deck melted snow froze landing gear control cables. Maintenance performed required procedures and returned aircraft to service.
