Narrative:

Warm WX front moving east, running into cold front over east coast. Just beginning descent, all cups, bottles, inserts were stowed. Flight attendant #3 stepped out of cockpit and told #1 flight attendant (self) and #5 flight attendant to situation down now. We tried, but could not get to our jump seats soon enough. We grabbed hand-holds in first class galley and entryway and hung on for 30 seconds and then #5 flight attendant went to first class and took a passenger (empty) seat. I sat in 1L jump seat (mine) and we then hit more turbulence for another 30 seconds. We informed the passenger that we would not be coming through the cabin again and to put all service related items in the seat back pockets or under the seats. Aft galley was almost secured as well. However, they were thrown about more than the forward part of the aircraft. All flight attendants had a few bumps and bruises and a scratch or two. A little sore the next day but no severe trauma -- as far as at the writing of this report. After passenger deplaned, there was some type of smoke or condensation in cabin -- some odor -- but it cleared in about 1 min.

Title: FLT ATTENDANT RPT REGARDING A B757 WHICH EXPERIENCED SEVERE TURB PRIOR TO CABIN ATTENDANTS BEING SEATED. SOME INJURIES.

Narrative: WARM WX FRONT MOVING E, RUNNING INTO COLD FRONT OVER EAST COAST. JUST BEGINNING DSCNT, ALL CUPS, BOTTLES, INSERTS WERE STOWED. FLT ATTENDANT #3 STEPPED OUT OF COCKPIT AND TOLD #1 FLT ATTENDANT (SELF) AND #5 FLT ATTENDANT TO SIT DOWN NOW. WE TRIED, BUT COULD NOT GET TO OUR JUMP SEATS SOON ENOUGH. WE GRABBED HAND-HOLDS IN FIRST CLASS GALLEY AND ENTRYWAY AND HUNG ON FOR 30 SECONDS AND THEN #5 FLT ATTENDANT WENT TO FIRST CLASS AND TOOK A PAX (EMPTY) SEAT. I SAT IN 1L JUMP SEAT (MINE) AND WE THEN HIT MORE TURB FOR ANOTHER 30 SECONDS. WE INFORMED THE PAX THAT WE WOULD NOT BE COMING THROUGH THE CABIN AGAIN AND TO PUT ALL SVC RELATED ITEMS IN THE SEAT BACK POCKETS OR UNDER THE SEATS. AFT GALLEY WAS ALMOST SECURED AS WELL. HOWEVER, THEY WERE THROWN ABOUT MORE THAN THE FORWARD PART OF THE ACFT. ALL FLT ATTENDANTS HAD A FEW BUMPS AND BRUISES AND A SCRATCH OR TWO. A LITTLE SORE THE NEXT DAY BUT NO SEVERE TRAUMA -- AS FAR AS AT THE WRITING OF THIS RPT. AFTER PAX DEPLANED, THERE WAS SOME TYPE OF SMOKE OR CONDENSATION IN CABIN -- SOME ODOR -- BUT IT CLRED IN ABOUT 1 MIN.
