Narrative:
Our aircraft was holding short of runway 26 at lbb facing north. I observed a light twin aircraft, possibly a cessna 310, on short final for runway 26. At approximately 200-300 ft, the aircraft requested an s-turn from tower. This was approved and the twin turned directly toward our aircraft with a normal descent. As he turned back to the runway at approximately 100 ft, he was directly over our aircraft in a 15-30 degree angle of bank. We took no evasive action and departed normally.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: PLT OF A C310 FLEW LOW OVER A GND HOLDING ATR72 OFF THE SIDE OF THE APCH END OF THE RWY DURING LNDG APCH. THE TWR CTLR HAD APPROVED THE C310 PLT'S REQUEST FOR AN S-TURN ON FINAL, BUT DID NOT APPROVE HIM FOR A LOW BANKED PASS OVER THE RPTR'S ATR72.
Narrative: OUR ACFT WAS HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 26 AT LBB FACING N. I OBSERVED A LIGHT TWIN ACFT, POSSIBLY A CESSNA 310, ON SHORT FINAL FOR RWY 26. AT APPROX 200-300 FT, THE ACFT REQUESTED AN S-TURN FROM TWR. THIS WAS APPROVED AND THE TWIN TURNED DIRECTLY TOWARD OUR ACFT WITH A NORMAL DSCNT. AS HE TURNED BACK TO THE RWY AT APPROX 100 FT, HE WAS DIRECTLY OVER OUR ACFT IN A 15-30 DEG ANGLE OF BANK. WE TOOK NO EVASIVE ACTION AND DEPARTED NORMALLY.
