Narrative:
I was cleared by montgomery ground to taxi to runway 28R. I read back the clearance and made a right turn onto the taxiway. As I turned I looked down the taxiway along my direction of travel. I did not notice a grumman that had taxied down between 2 rows of parked aircraft to my left and about 20 ft further down the taxiway. The grumman had apparently received clearance to taxi before I was on frequency. He pulled onto the taxiway just as I completed my turn. I stopped quickly to avoid the other aircraft. I should have looked to see if there were aircraft taxiing from the other parking area before turning onto the taxiway. I should not assume when I get clearance to taxi to the runway that I am the only aircraft in the area taxiing to the runway.

Title: PLT OF A STINSON TAILWHEEL ACFT STOPPED TAXIING TO AVOID A GRUMMAN SMALL ACFT ALSO TAXIING OUT FOR TKOF BEHIND A ROW OF PARKED ACFT.
Narrative: I WAS CLRED BY MONTGOMERY GND TO TAXI TO RWY 28R. I READ BACK THE CLRNC AND MADE A R TURN ONTO THE TXWY. AS I TURNED I LOOKED DOWN THE TXWY ALONG MY DIRECTION OF TRAVEL. I DID NOT NOTICE A GRUMMAN THAT HAD TAXIED DOWN BTWN 2 ROWS OF PARKED ACFT TO MY L AND ABOUT 20 FT FURTHER DOWN THE TXWY. THE GRUMMAN HAD APPARENTLY RECEIVED CLRNC TO TAXI BEFORE I WAS ON FREQ. HE PULLED ONTO THE TXWY JUST AS I COMPLETED MY TURN. I STOPPED QUICKLY TO AVOID THE OTHER ACFT. I SHOULD HAVE LOOKED TO SEE IF THERE WERE ACFT TAXIING FROM THE OTHER PARKING AREA BEFORE TURNING ONTO THE TXWY. I SHOULD NOT ASSUME WHEN I GET CLRNC TO TAXI TO THE RWY THAT I AM THE ONLY ACFT IN THE AREA TAXIING TO THE RWY.
