Narrative:
Frequency 128.9, FL310, ATC facility: lisbon control. Location: ocean, past dirma. Near lisbon after coasting out, approximately 40 mins prior to oceanic entry point and in VHF contact with lisbon and HF with santa maria, I received a HF SELCAL from santa maria to contact lisbon on 128.9. No contact initially on #1 VHF. Recycled frequency selector and retried -- contact established. Lisbon control upset and indicated unable to contact us for 5 mins. I was unable to determine cause. Radio operated normally thereafter and no other abnormality noted.

Narrative: FREQ 128.9, FL310, ATC FACILITY: LISBON CTL. LOCATION: OCEAN, PAST DIRMA. NEAR LISBON AFTER COASTING OUT, APPROX 40 MINS PRIOR TO OCEANIC ENTRY POINT AND IN VHF CONTACT WITH LISBON AND HF WITH SANTA MARIA, I RECEIVED A HF SELCAL FROM SANTA MARIA TO CONTACT LISBON ON 128.9. NO CONTACT INITIALLY ON #1 VHF. RECYCLED FREQ SELECTOR AND RETRIED -- CONTACT ESTABLISHED. LISBON CTL UPSET AND INDICATED UNABLE TO CONTACT US FOR 5 MINS. I WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE CAUSE. RADIO OPERATED NORMALLY THEREAFTER AND NO OTHER ABNORMALITY NOTED.
