Narrative:
Aircraft (PA24-250) was flown on a pleasure flight from Y47 to jxn. Aircraft arrived jxn approximately XA43 and was parked in front of the control tower until approximately XB40. Upon start-up of the aircraft, the ELT was found to be activated. Pilot of aircraft shut off the ELT. Jxn ground control asked aircraft if they had a stuck microphone. I (the pilot of the aircraft) stated that the ELT had been activated and that I shut it off. Tower operator informed me that he was reporting the situation. Upon arrival back to Y47, the aircraft home base, the ELT was checked and found to be working properly.
