Narrative:

While taxiing to runway 31R, misunderstood directions and attempted to taxi runway 31L. PIC crossed runway 31R to get to runway 31L. Once aware of mistake, held short runway 31R and requested clearance to cross runway 31R, to be able to taxi to approach end of runway. PIC was cleared to cross runway and proceeded to taxi runway 31R with no further incident.
