Narrative:
I flew on an IFR flight plan from ptk to AL15 under clear skies and unlimited visibility. I canceled IFR when 15 mi north of AL15 with 'airport in sight.' what I saw was nolf barin airport, which was in direct line to my destination airport, AL15. Nolf barin has the exact same runway layout as AL15. My seeing the airport with the same runways as AL15 caused me to believe I was at AL15. I landed without incident and talked to the airport personnel. I departed and flew to AL15. In the future, I will not cancel IFR until my navaids verify my airport of destination is assured.
