Narrative:
Colin 1 departure (SID) for ric, va, has confusing depiction/narrative description. The way it is shown on commercial page 10-3 and the way clearance delivery gives ATC clearance leads to confusion about whether one should fly ric 074 degree radial to model intersection or ric 048 degree radial to tappa intersection. This should be clarified. I suggest naming them different transitions. Also, mileage should be shown between ric and tappa on V16 on the commercial SID. It is not shown currently. Low altitude en route chart shows 36 NM for that segment.
