Narrative:
After landing on runway 35L at den, we were given the instruction to taxi north on taxiway M to taxiway bn and pass behind the inbound B727. Both myself and the B727 stopped. We both awaited instructions from ground control, but the B727 had already switched to ramp. Tower told us to still wait and pass behind the B727, and that they were trying to communicate with the B727. It was a situation where both of us were waiting for the other to pass in front of each other. After waiting for over 2 mins, I decided that the area was clear and the B727 had me in sight, so I taxied in to the ramp and proceeded to park. My actions were 100% safe and no danger was involved. After shutting down my aircraft, I realized that ATC never cleared me in front of the B727. I should have kept my position and awaited ground instructions.
