Narrative:
I was acting as PIC of a night, VFR part 135 cargo flight departing lebanon, nh (leb), for a flight to northampton, ma (7b2). After loading the cargo on board the aircraft, I tuned in to the ATIS frequency and, since winds were light, runway 18 was active for departures while runway 25 was being used for arrs. Calling leb ground, I received taxi clearance to 'taxi to runway 18.' knowing that runway 18 was only a short taxi from the FBO, I made a left turn on the taxiway B and noticed the sign signifying that I was approaching runway 18. I began slowing down in anticipation of holding short. An aircraft landing on runway 25 distraction me and I put my eyes inside the cockpit momentarily to turn off my landing and taxi lights, so as not to distract the pilot of the aircraft on final approach to runway 25. By the time I looked up, I realized that I had taxied past the hold short lines, but still well clear of runway 18, since the hold lines are approximately 75 ft from the runway shoulder. Realizing my mistake, I stopped immediately. This was accompanied by a message from the ground controller not to taxi any further past the hold lines. Going to tower frequency, I received my takeoff clearance on runway 18 and the remainder of the flight was without incident. Fatigue might have been a factor in this situation as well as the distraction caused by the other aircraft. Recessed lighting on the hold short lines may have prevented the incident.

Title: PLT OF A C172 AIR TAXI CARGO FLT STOPPED PAST THE RWY HOLD LINE DURING TAXI OUT BECAUSE OF DISTR FROM ANOTHER LNDG ACFT. GND CTLR ISSUED THE RPTR AN ALERT.
Narrative: I WAS ACTING AS PIC OF A NIGHT, VFR PART 135 CARGO FLT DEPARTING LEBANON, NH (LEB), FOR A FLT TO NORTHAMPTON, MA (7B2). AFTER LOADING THE CARGO ON BOARD THE ACFT, I TUNED IN TO THE ATIS FREQ AND, SINCE WINDS WERE LIGHT, RWY 18 WAS ACTIVE FOR DEPS WHILE RWY 25 WAS BEING USED FOR ARRS. CALLING LEB GND, I RECEIVED TAXI CLRNC TO 'TAXI TO RWY 18.' KNOWING THAT RWY 18 WAS ONLY A SHORT TAXI FROM THE FBO, I MADE A L TURN ON THE TXWY B AND NOTICED THE SIGN SIGNIFYING THAT I WAS APCHING RWY 18. I BEGAN SLOWING DOWN IN ANTICIPATION OF HOLDING SHORT. AN ACFT LNDG ON RWY 25 DISTR ME AND I PUT MY EYES INSIDE THE COCKPIT MOMENTARILY TO TURN OFF MY LNDG AND TAXI LIGHTS, SO AS NOT TO DISTRACT THE PLT OF THE ACFT ON FINAL APCH TO RWY 25. BY THE TIME I LOOKED UP, I REALIZED THAT I HAD TAXIED PAST THE HOLD SHORT LINES, BUT STILL WELL CLR OF RWY 18, SINCE THE HOLD LINES ARE APPROX 75 FT FROM THE RWY SHOULDER. REALIZING MY MISTAKE, I STOPPED IMMEDIATELY. THIS WAS ACCOMPANIED BY A MESSAGE FROM THE GND CTLR NOT TO TAXI ANY FURTHER PAST THE HOLD LINES. GOING TO TWR FREQ, I RECEIVED MY TKOF CLRNC ON RWY 18 AND THE REMAINDER OF THE FLT WAS WITHOUT INCIDENT. FATIGUE MIGHT HAVE BEEN A FACTOR IN THIS SIT AS WELL AS THE DISTR CAUSED BY THE OTHER ACFT. RECESSED LIGHTING ON THE HOLD SHORT LINES MAY HAVE PREVENTED THE INCIDENT.
