Narrative:

On the cetus arrival, landing dtw and descending from FL180, ATC issued clearance to cross cetus intersection at 12000 ft and to maintain at least 2000 FPM rate of descent until that altitude. As a result, the PF (first officer) overshot 12000 ft by approximately 250 ft before immediately (with help from the captain) correcting back to 12000 ft. ATC advised altitude was low but we were already back to and level at 12000 ft. Factors contributing were: 1) a 'rushed' clearance from ATC (maintain at least 2000 FPM). 2) first officer's relative newness to the aircraft (40 hours).
