Narrative:
On feb/xa/99 aircraft xyz in ZZZ requested a constant speed drive change due to MEL. After a late start, constant speed drive and generator were changed. After installation, constant speed drive leak at o-ring at wet spline. The o-ring was changed and leak was repaired. As the lead and helping in the installation, I recorded the change in the logbook with part number. Later in the day after my shift, it was found that the constant speed drive was for a B737-300. The parts programmed were the wrong parts. Technical service programmed due to the MEL. Engineer was notified and sunstrand, the manufacturer, was called. They said the constant speed drive was interchangeable. The constant speed drive operations checked normal and no differences were found on installation. The constant speed drive was placed back on MEL later in day by engineer then replaced next day by XXX. There were no abnormalities while installed on aircraft. As the lead, there were several things I overlooked after installation due to departure time. Part number should have been verified, but was overlooked by myself and others. As the lead, I take the responsibility for the paperwork and signoff.

Title: A B737-200 SCHEDULED FOR A CONSTANT SPD DRIVE UNIT REPLACEMENT HAD THE WRONG PART NUMBER UNIT DELIVERED AND INSTALLED.
Narrative: ON FEB/XA/99 ACFT XYZ IN ZZZ REQUESTED A CONSTANT SPD DRIVE CHANGE DUE TO MEL. AFTER A LATE START, CONSTANT SPD DRIVE AND GENERATOR WERE CHANGED. AFTER INSTALLATION, CONSTANT SPD DRIVE LEAK AT O-RING AT WET SPLINE. THE O-RING WAS CHANGED AND LEAK WAS REPAIRED. AS THE LEAD AND HELPING IN THE INSTALLATION, I RECORDED THE CHANGE IN THE LOGBOOK WITH PART NUMBER. LATER IN THE DAY AFTER MY SHIFT, IT WAS FOUND THAT THE CONSTANT SPD DRIVE WAS FOR A B737-300. THE PARTS PROGRAMMED WERE THE WRONG PARTS. TECHNICAL SVC PROGRAMMED DUE TO THE MEL. ENGINEER WAS NOTIFIED AND SUNSTRAND, THE MANUFACTURER, WAS CALLED. THEY SAID THE CONSTANT SPD DRIVE WAS INTERCHANGEABLE. THE CONSTANT SPD DRIVE OPS CHKED NORMAL AND NO DIFFERENCES WERE FOUND ON INSTALLATION. THE CONSTANT SPD DRIVE WAS PLACED BACK ON MEL LATER IN DAY BY ENGINEER THEN REPLACED NEXT DAY BY XXX. THERE WERE NO ABNORMALITIES WHILE INSTALLED ON ACFT. AS THE LEAD, THERE WERE SEVERAL THINGS I OVERLOOKED AFTER INSTALLATION DUE TO DEP TIME. PART NUMBER SHOULD HAVE BEEN VERIFIED, BUT WAS OVERLOOKED BY MYSELF AND OTHERS. AS THE LEAD, I TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE PAPERWORK AND SIGNOFF.
