Narrative:
Our company operates aircraft part 135 air taxi air ambulance. During a sale of one of our aircraft, the buyer discovered logbook discrepancies. Scheduled time replacement items were not overhauled or replaced on time. A run-over of 100 hours or less was discovered. Manufacturer does allow 10% run-over, but this was not discovered on time. Aircraft was sold hastily before items could be looked over. Contributing factors: 1) workload too high. 2) record bookkeeping needs to be organized better. 3) pressure to have aircraft 'in service' before all items have been looked over and requirements satisfied. Corrective actions: all logbooks will be gone over again to insure compliance with all requirements -- time, hour, calendar, etc. A new tracking system will be used. Communication between maintenance and owners will be improved. All fleet aircraft will be subject to logbook review and all items will be addressed -- workload eased.
