Narrative:
During takeoff roll on runway 3L at dtw with RVR reported to be approximately 1000 ft, 800 ft, 800 ft, and at about 100 KIAS, tower advised us to abort our takeoff. A normal abort was accomplished. Aircraft was slowed to normal taxi speed prior to taxiway Y8 on runway 3L. Tower explained reason for the abort was an aircraft on the runway downfield. Nice job by tower personnel for catching this incident! Supplemental information from acn 429574: we never saw any other aircraft.
