Narrative:
While flying cvg runway 18L special departure procedure, departure control instructed flight to turn right 220 degrees, intercept blugrass departure. Captain was hand flying aircraft, FMS course appeared slightly right of aircraft. As aircraft was passing 200 degrees, first officer advised captain to turn back left to 170 degrees to reintercept course, as we had apparently flown through same. While in left turn, departure control asked our heading and instructed us to turn right to 220 degrees and intercept departure (as we were turning toward inbound traffic). When established in right turn, captain asked first officer to rechk VOR radial and engage autoplt. It appears that the FMS course was approximately 1-2 KM left of where it should have been.

Title: B757 FMS EQUIP PROB DIRECTED WRONG TURN TO INTERCEPT DEP SID AT CVG.
Narrative: WHILE FLYING CVG RWY 18L SPECIAL DEP PROC, DEP CTL INSTRUCTED FLT TO TURN R 220 DEGS, INTERCEPT BLUGRASS DEP. CAPT WAS HAND FLYING ACFT, FMS COURSE APPEARED SLIGHTLY R OF ACFT. AS ACFT WAS PASSING 200 DEGS, FO ADVISED CAPT TO TURN BACK L TO 170 DEGS TO REINTERCEPT COURSE, AS WE HAD APPARENTLY FLOWN THROUGH SAME. WHILE IN L TURN, DEP CTL ASKED OUR HDG AND INSTRUCTED US TO TURN R TO 220 DEGS AND INTERCEPT DEP (AS WE WERE TURNING TOWARD INBOUND TFC). WHEN ESTABLISHED IN R TURN, CAPT ASKED FO TO RECHK VOR RADIAL AND ENGAGE AUTOPLT. IT APPEARS THAT THE FMS COURSE WAS APPROX 1-2 KM L OF WHERE IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN.
