Narrative:
While on an IFR flight plan to tuscaloosa, al, the nose gear collapsed upon landing. I was on left traffic for runway 11, and cleared to land upon reporting entry into the downwind. Upon touchdown on the mains, I throttled back to allow the nose to settle. When the nose came down it impacted the runway, the propellers struck, and the aircraft (on the mains and nose) slid to a stop. I had 3 green lights on both checks: 1 on downwind, and 1 on about a 2 1/2 - 3 mi final.
