Narrative:
Hadn't been to ord in some time. Got taxi clearance and started taxi based on assumed route. Crew unclr about where txwys were, but continued slow taxi trying to figure it out. Crossed inactive runway as a result. Should have set brakes until totally sure of route. Very stupid mistake! Supplemental information from acn 431119: also some snow on taxiway making markings harder to see.

Title: WHILE TAXIING AT ORD, CREW CROSSED AN INACTIVE RWY WITHOUT CLRNC TO DO SO.
Narrative: HADN'T BEEN TO ORD IN SOME TIME. GOT TAXI CLRNC AND STARTED TAXI BASED ON ASSUMED RTE. CREW UNCLR ABOUT WHERE TXWYS WERE, BUT CONTINUED SLOW TAXI TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT. CROSSED INACTIVE RWY AS A RESULT. SHOULD HAVE SET BRAKES UNTIL TOTALLY SURE OF RTE. VERY STUPID MISTAKE! SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 431119: ALSO SOME SNOW ON TXWY MAKING MARKINGS HARDER TO SEE.
