Narrative:
Taxi into the gate at ZZZ on mar/xa/99. Followed marshallers directions to gate west. Followed yellow line. DC10 was parked to my right. Upon deplaning was informed that my right wing had touched the DC10 wing to my right. Then observed that the line we had followed was marked DC9. Our line was to my left. No damage beyond surface marks. The marshaller must have inadvertently used the wrong guideline. Then either did not see the wing walker or wing walker was not aware of the impending situation. I recommend increased training for the ground crews.
