Narrative:
I was involved with the engine change in ZZZ on #1 engine change due to gear box failure. I checked engine rig per maintenance manual for engine change paperwork. I was having trouble installing rig pins in engine and fuel control on #1 engine. During troubleshooting, I removed bolt and thrust control rod assembly at back of #1 engine rear cad to find where rig was off. After engine was rigged and safetied, bolt cpn 5918578 ipc 76-11-06 figure 7 was overlooked. I was following aircraft for follow-up and performance when I saw aircraft was in maintenance with an in-flight shutdown with no throttle control. It came to mind, the one bolt safety I overlooked.
