Narrative:
On or about feb/xa-xb/99, I was involved in the splicing of wires or repair of a wire bundle on aircraft air carrier, MD11, xyz, that had numerous problems: external power, APU, including fuel system engine and pumps. I, upon receiving the turnover from day crew avionics (which had ran new wiring to the affected area and electrical center) spliced in the new wiring to original by using appropriate wiring diagram manual and maintenance manuals. With the aid of technical crew chief and engineer, we performed cursory checks of those affected system. Checked my work accomplished by documenting on job card. I also left a verbal turnover to routing manager and technical crew chief that aircraft needed to be pushed out and ran for verification of those affected system were functioning properly. On mar/xa/99, I signed for certified letter from FAA wyzx for problem with shutting down #3 engine. I did not know at any time falsely or intentionally not follow proper procedures in the repair of this aircraft.

Narrative: ON OR ABOUT FEB/XA-XB/99, I WAS INVOLVED IN THE SPLICING OF WIRES OR REPAIR OF A WIRE BUNDLE ON ACFT ACR, MD11, XYZ, THAT HAD NUMEROUS PROBS: EXTERNAL PWR, APU, INCLUDING FUEL SYS ENG AND PUMPS. I, UPON RECEIVING THE TURNOVER FROM DAY CREW AVIONICS (WHICH HAD RAN NEW WIRING TO THE AFFECTED AREA AND ELECTRICAL CTR) SPLICED IN THE NEW WIRING TO ORIGINAL BY USING APPROPRIATE WIRING DIAGRAM MANUAL AND MAINT MANUALS. WITH THE AID OF TECHNICAL CREW CHIEF AND ENGINEER, WE PERFORMED CURSORY CHKS OF THOSE AFFECTED SYS. CHKED MY WORK ACCOMPLISHED BY DOCUMENTING ON JOB CARD. I ALSO LEFT A VERBAL TURNOVER TO ROUTING MGR AND TECHNICAL CREW CHIEF THAT ACFT NEEDED TO BE PUSHED OUT AND RAN FOR VERIFICATION OF THOSE AFFECTED SYS WERE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. ON MAR/XA/99, I SIGNED FOR CERTIFIED LETTER FROM FAA WYZX FOR PROB WITH SHUTTING DOWN #3 ENG. I DID NOT KNOW AT ANY TIME FALSELY OR INTENTIONALLY NOT FOLLOW PROPER PROCS IN THE REPAIR OF THIS ACFT.
