Narrative:
In sum: B757 crew arriving lax making approach and landing to runway 25R. At about 1500 ft AGL, an aircraft on taxiway F was cleared into position on runway 25L. At 50 ft AGL, reporter aircraft experienced uncontrollable roll from jetblast and initiated go around. The scenario was repeated for a second go around before the lax tower stopped clearing aircraft into position in front of traffic on short final. The reporter contact the tower operator at the time and discussed the severity of the situation that was created and expressed about the safety of other aircraft landing under similar conditions.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: B757 MULTIPLE GARS BECAUSE OF JETBLAST AT LOW ALTS CAUSING CTLABILITY PROBS AT LAX.
Narrative: IN SUM: B757 CREW ARRIVING LAX MAKING APCH AND LNDG TO RWY 25R. AT ABOUT 1500 FT AGL, AN ACFT ON TXWY F WAS CLRED INTO POS ON RWY 25L. AT 50 FT AGL, RPTR ACFT EXPERIENCED UNCTLABLE ROLL FROM JETBLAST AND INITIATED GAR. THE SCENARIO WAS REPEATED FOR A SECOND GAR BEFORE THE LAX TWR STOPPED CLRING ACFT INTO POS IN FRONT OF TFC ON SHORT FINAL. THE RPTR CONTACT THE TWR OPERATOR AT THE TIME AND DISCUSSED THE SEVERITY OF THE SIT THAT WAS CREATED AND EXPRESSED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF OTHER ACFT LNDG UNDER SIMILAR CONDITIONS.
