Narrative:
Between abi and jen vors we were cleared to dfw arrival fix 'fever.' the controller reclred us to a dal fix, 'knead,' after we questioned his original instruction. Further in the flight, when we checked on with the assigned tower frequency by the next controller, we were acknowledged and continued. Tower heading instructions that were assigned appeared consistent with that of runway 13R at dal. Only until short final when we requested our clearance to land did tower respond, we don't see you and where are you? We then executed the missed approach and were subsequently handed off to departure control who then appropriately idented us on radar. When talking to dfw tower east by phone, after landing, they acknowledged that their facility controller never saw us on radar. An in depth review should proceed reviewing all verbal recordings involving ZFW, dfw/dal approach and tower controllers at dfw.

Title: AN ACR MD80 FLC WERE APPARENTLY MISIDENTED BY TRACON AND VECTORED TOWARD THE WRONG ARPT. THE ERROR WAS DISCOVERED DURING THE GAR.
Narrative: BTWN ABI AND JEN VORS WE WERE CLRED TO DFW ARR FIX 'FEVER.' THE CTLR RECLRED US TO A DAL FIX, 'KNEAD,' AFTER WE QUESTIONED HIS ORIGINAL INSTRUCTION. FURTHER IN THE FLT, WHEN WE CHKED ON WITH THE ASSIGNED TWR FREQ BY THE NEXT CTLR, WE WERE ACKNOWLEDGED AND CONTINUED. TWR HDG INSTRUCTIONS THAT WERE ASSIGNED APPEARED CONSISTENT WITH THAT OF RWY 13R AT DAL. ONLY UNTIL SHORT FINAL WHEN WE REQUESTED OUR CLRNC TO LAND DID TWR RESPOND, WE DON'T SEE YOU AND WHERE ARE YOU? WE THEN EXECUTED THE MISSED APCH AND WERE SUBSEQUENTLY HANDED OFF TO DEP CTL WHO THEN APPROPRIATELY IDENTED US ON RADAR. WHEN TALKING TO DFW TWR E BY PHONE, AFTER LNDG, THEY ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THEIR FACILITY CTLR NEVER SAW US ON RADAR. AN IN DEPTH REVIEW SHOULD PROCEED REVIEWING ALL VERBAL RECORDINGS INVOLVING ZFW, DFW/DAL APCH AND TWR CTLRS AT DFW.
