Narrative:
At FL240, got TCASII TA 3 O'clock position about 3 mi, same altitude. Visual on aircraft confirmed converging. Got TCASII RA and descend and controller called to make 'left emergency turn to 190 degrees.' did turn and followed RA descend. Both aircraft continued descent, continuing RA descend message. After 500 ft descent, got 'clear of conflict.' climbed back up and continued on course. Crew followed SOP. First officer #2 was PF.

Narrative: AT FL240, GOT TCASII TA 3 O'CLOCK POS ABOUT 3 MI, SAME ALT. VISUAL ON ACFT CONFIRMED CONVERGING. GOT TCASII RA AND DSND AND CTLR CALLED TO MAKE 'L EMER TURN TO 190 DEGS.'
