Narrative:
Prior to taxi to active, had engines running while contacting tower for IFR clearance. Car parked near, in front of aircraft. Let aircraft creep forward and right engine/propeller contacted side of car. Recommendation: do not allow car to be parked near aircraft without driver in car. Pilot was preoccupied with cockpit duties -- could not see parked car. Note: nothing should be allowed to be placed in front of aircraft in areas where aircraft movement is possible. Factor affecting human performance: pilot rushed to meet appointment.
