Narrative:
After pushing 30 mins late, we taxied to runway 4. We were #2 for takeoff holding behind a DHC8, behind the ILS hold short line. We thought the previous jet aircraft had held short at the B4 line. We were watching spacing on final for runway 4 and realized we would not have much time to taxi into position which is the norm at lga. The captain released the brake and started to taxi up to the B4 hold line as the MD80 was approaching on final. The WX was good VFR and we felt we could go up to the B4 hold short. As the captain began to taxi, he asked if I thought it was ok and if I noticed anything on the ATIS about the hold short lines. Tower directed the aircraft on final to go around as we approached the B4 hold line. Tower mentioned nothing about our error. At departure time trying to push as soon as possible, not reading the ATIS to the last line VFR WX, we let our guard down and became rushed when we should not have.

Title: MD80 FLC STOPPED AT INCORRECT HOLD LINE AT LGA.
Narrative: AFTER PUSHING 30 MINS LATE, WE TAXIED TO RWY 4. WE WERE #2 FOR TKOF HOLDING BEHIND A DHC8, BEHIND THE ILS HOLD SHORT LINE. WE THOUGHT THE PREVIOUS JET ACFT HAD HELD SHORT AT THE B4 LINE. WE WERE WATCHING SPACING ON FINAL FOR RWY 4 AND REALIZED WE WOULD NOT HAVE MUCH TIME TO TAXI INTO POS WHICH IS THE NORM AT LGA. THE CAPT RELEASED THE BRAKE AND STARTED TO TAXI UP TO THE B4 HOLD LINE AS THE MD80 WAS APCHING ON FINAL. THE WX WAS GOOD VFR AND WE FELT WE COULD GO UP TO THE B4 HOLD SHORT. AS THE CAPT BEGAN TO TAXI, HE ASKED IF I THOUGHT IT WAS OK AND IF I NOTICED ANYTHING ON THE ATIS ABOUT THE HOLD SHORT LINES. TWR DIRECTED THE ACFT ON FINAL TO GO AROUND AS WE APCHED THE B4 HOLD LINE. TWR MENTIONED NOTHING ABOUT OUR ERROR. AT DEP TIME TRYING TO PUSH ASAP, NOT READING THE ATIS TO THE LAST LINE VFR WX, WE LET OUR GUARD DOWN AND BECAME RUSHED WHEN WE SHOULD NOT HAVE.
